Return Policy
It is common practice among customers to return products and ask for a refund if they are not satisfied with a particular product. These products can range from clothes, cosmetic items, electronic items, furniture etc. Therefore all business organisations, e-commerce sites, major stores and shops have a return policy attached to their product. This also applies in the case of jewellery sets and items. Such a document which states that a customer can return a product if they are not satisfied with the product is called a ‘Return and Refund Policy‘, as it also promises to refund the money back to the customer. However, there are certain conditions which are mandatory to be followed in case customers want to return a product and get their money back.
Let’s take a look at the major points that are included in our ‘Return Policy’ through which we can inform our customers of our policy on returns and refunds.
- Merchandise to be returned within 15 days: We can say that all jewellery items should be returned within 15 days from the date of purchase printed on the invoice. We can also say that the gemstone or jewellery item should be in the same condition as it was purchased; otherwise, any change to this can lead to a forfeit of the return policy.
- Important Documents related to Purchase must be Produced: We can let our customers know that they should show us all documents related to the purchase of the product, for instance, Proof of Purchase, original certificates and estimates if any. This will help in establishing the veracity of the claim made by the customer and also facilitate them in getting their money back in time.
- Return of 100 per cent of the Invoice amount or Exchange of Product: We can guarantee our customers that they can get either the whole invoice amount at the time of purchase, or they can purchase another product equivalent to the invoice amount as mentioned in the Return Policy.
- Refund if Cancellation of a Product is Requested: Here we can say that the customers will get the full amount back provided they inform us of the cancellation request of the product within 24 hours from the purchase made as per the Return Policy.
- Deduction of a certain amount if the Product has already been dispatched: If a cancellation request for a product is received after the product has already been dispatched; here we can say that we can deduct a certain amount and the rest of the amount will be refunded back to the customer as per the Return Policy.
